Zero Tolerance for Gender-Based Violence Taoyuan City Government promotes Taiwan’s first Multilingual Gender-Based Violence Prevention E-Book. Over the past three years Taiwan has amended up to nine “gender-based violence prevention” related laws. Taoyuan City Government compiled this multilingual E-book to ensure foreign workers, new immigrants and the local residents of Taoyuan can gain a quick understanding of various “gender-based violence” prevention measures and rights protections. This e-book is available in Chinese, English, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Filipino. The layout is aligned across languages for easy cross-reference; regardless of nationality or language background, it is for all readers in Taiwan. The E-book is divided into two sections: Gender-Based Violence - Prevention and Response and Help and Support Information. Gender-based violence is divided into seven chapters focused on different subjects: sexual harassment, stalking and harassment, non-consensual filming and dissemination of sexual images, child and youth sexual exploitation, sexual assault, intimate partner violence and human trafficking. The Help and Support Information section details assistance provided by government agencies and medical facilities, right to work protections, economic employment and subsidies etc. Please download and use this information.
